King Charles’ cancer giving Palace a headache, claims expert

King Charles is continuing his royal duties while also still undergoing cancer treatment, that much has been made clear. It was reported late last year that the monarch, who received his cancer diagnosis a year ago, would continue with his treatment into 2025.

With plans for a new state visit abroad having been laid out, it’s perhaps offered an indication that Charles’ treatment is going well. However, not everyone is convinced that things are going to get easier, with one expert claiming that the Palace faces tough times ahead.

King Charles has been through plenty in the last year, and as he grows older, so to do his friends and family members. He sadly lost his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, two years ago, and last year, his longtime friend Ian Farquhar tragically died after an accident in his home. Now, tragedy has struck again as King Charles grieves a person close to his heart.

Charles’ reign has had a rocky start. The monarch first had to put a lot of energy into his son, Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle, after all the accusations and claims they made about the Royal Family, before last year receiving the shocking news that he has cancer.

Over the course of the past year, Charles has undergone cancer treatment. And while he was supposedly well enough to pause his treatment for the Australia & Samoa state visit he and Camilla undertook, he still hasn’t fully recovered.

Very early on, King Charles made the decision to reveal that he had cancer, even though it was reported that Camilla was against him disclosing his diagnosis. The fact that he did had a significant impact in the UK, with the number of people visiting websites for testing themselves skyrocketing.

Charles had reportedly hoped it could help others if he disclosed his cancer diagnosis – and it appears as though he definitely difference. A week after the monarch broke the news, he then released his own personal message to the country.

“I would like to express my most heartfelt thanks for the many messages of support and good wishes I have received in recent days,” he said. “As all those who have been affected by cancer will know, such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement,” Charles wrote.

Update on King Charles’ cancer treatment

He continued: “It is equally heartening to hear how sharing my own diagnosis has helped promote public understanding and shine a light on the work of all those organizations which support cancer patients and their families across the UK and wider world. My lifelong admiration for their tireless care and dedication is all the greater as a result of my own personal experience.”

Exactly what kind of cancer King Charles was diagnosed with is still not known. However, as per Sky News, the monarch has regularly attended private appointments in London. Shortly before Christmas, the news outlet reported that Charles will continue with his cancer treatment in 2025.

Moreover, sources said his treatment “has been moving in a positive direction.” Speaking to Sky, Laura Lee, chief executive of the cancer support charity Maggie’s–which Queen Camilla is president of–said it’s not rare that cancer treatment takes time.

“It’s very common for treatment to be ongoing for very long periods of time, as is the treatment that the Princess of Wales went through, which is an intense period of treatment over a year, and then it comes to a point where it’s on an end, and she’s on that recovery from some of the impacts of her treatment,” Lee told Sky News.

“So we’ve got immunotherapy, chemotherapy, surgery, hormone therapy. There are all sorts of different treatment modalities. And so it’s not surprising at all.”

She continued: “What we’ve heard from our centre visitors, it’s been good that they haven’t just shone a light on one specific cancer type, but they’ve shone a light on cancer as a whole, and that there’s varying treatment and varying impacts and varying different ways of navigating the challenges that cancer bring. And I think that approach has been much more effective and positive for the cancer community. I know firsthand that everyone is so grateful to them for doing that.”

Set to travel to Italy as part of state visit

Charles has taken some time away from his royal duties while undergoing cancer treatment. Meanwhile, Camilla and his son, Prince William, have supported him by taking on a number of engagements, including some abroad. Now though, it’s been said that King Charles will travel to Italy for a state visit in April, accompanied by his wife.

In early February, Buckingham Palace announced that Charles and Camilla would visit Italy and the Holy See in early April. The king and queen will meet Pope Francis to mark the celebration of the 2025 Catholic Holy Year. The couple will take on engagements in both Ravenna and Rome, where they will be  “celebrating the strong bilateral relationship between Italy and the United Kingdom,” the palace said.

For Charles, it will be his 17th trip to Italy and his first overseas trip this year as monarch. Speaking to GB News, King Charles’ former butler Grant Harrold praised his former employer’s careful approach to the state visit and consideration of his health.

“I think also he’s getting on a little bit, obviously he’s a little bit older. I mean when his mother became Queen and she was undertaking state visits, obviously she was a lot younger. I think because of obviously his age and his recent health and everything, they’ve probably just kind of been sensible about how they plan these kind of things. This is already his ninth visit since becoming king,” he said.

The former royal butler continued: “I just think they’re probably just planning it carefully and trying to make the most of his time while he’s overseas. With all state visits, it can be just for a couple of days or up to about a week. I’m not too sure exactly how long he’s there for. But again, these kinds of things, when they get planned, they make the most of it.”

Royal expert shares concerning pictures of King Charles

Harrold continued by saying that he believes King Charles is “doing really well ” and is “very positive” despite the tough treatment.

“The amazing thing is that they have this resilience just to carry on. And that’s what he’s very much doing is we know he’s great. He’s a great example.”

The fact that Charles is back on track despite his cancer treatment is, of course, an excellent sign. However, not everyone is entirely confident that things are as good as they seem. Writing for News.com.au, royal expert Daniela Elser wrote about a newly taken photo of Charles, comparing it to one just taken four years ago. She said that the “ordinary” looking photo proved “the desperate situation that’s unfolding behind Palace Gates.”

She wrote that the 2020 picture, taken in Jerusalem, Israel, showed the “unmistakable” difference in King Charles’ appearance, which is “painfully hard to ignore. “

“The King might have been all smiles at church in late January, but Buckingham Palace is today facing down a previously unheard of, never-considered royal scenario — how to keep Crown Inc going in the time of an aging, cancer-battling monarch who is increasingly rattling around the Palace, stranded and with fewer than ever people to call on,” Elser wrote in a column for News.com.au, continuing by comparing him to the late Queen Elizabeth II.

“As he ages and as he battles cancer, he has only very few working members of the royal family left he can rely on and delegate to in order to help him shoulder the load,” Elser added.

King Charles has lost two great friends in one year

Although Charles is staying positive despite the very tough 12 months that have been, he has also faced some quite heartbreaking times. In 2022, he lost his dear mother, Queen Elizabeth II, which led to him assuming the throne. The world mourned the late queen, who spent more than 70 years as the United Kingdom’s head of state.

“The death of my beloved Mother, Her Majesty The Queen, is a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all members of my family,” Charles said in a statement at the time.

“We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished Sovereign and a much-loved Mother.  I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the Realms and the Commonwealth, and by countless people around the world. “

Later in a speech, he turned to his late “darling mama,” saying: “As you begin your last great journey to join my dear late Papa, I want simply to say this: thank you. Thank you for your love and devotion to our family and to the family of nations you have served so diligently all these years. May ‘flights of Angels sing thee to thy rest.’”

Sadly, it’s not only his mother Charles has lost in recent years. In March 2024, his longtime friend Ian Farquhar suddenly passed away, and just months ago, details about his passing became known.

Known as “The Captain,” Ian Farquhar was a close friend of Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles. He died after becoming trapped between his bed and a wall at his home. His daughter, Victoria, issued a statement after his passing, describing how he loved horses. Tragically, alcohol was a problem.

“He went to Eton then joined the military and went to Sandhurst, he became the queen mother’s equerry, he said he was essentially the queen mother’s bodyguard. He was a huge lover of horses and would go on hunts where there would be a dinner afterwards.”

King Charles “deeply saddened” by his good friend Ian Farquhar’s passing

The statement continued: “The amount of drinking was considered normal for the activity but as time went on we thought he had a drinking problem. He would drink a litre of gin and a couple of bottles of wine in a day. He did try and stop and he would for a couple of weeks, doctors advised Ian that if he did not look after himself he would die.”

Now, Charles has suffered another heartbreak. On Tuesday, he announced the sad news that his close friend and spiritual leader, The Aga Khan, passed away in Lisbon, Portugal, surrounded by his family at age 88. The Aga Khan, also known as Prince Karim, and King Charles have often been pictured together on royal engagements. He even celebrated his Golden and Diamond Jubilees with Queen Elizabeth II, who held a dinner in his honor.

The late Aga Khan, considered one of the wealthiest people in the world, was also the Founding Patron of the King’s Trust. As per Town & Country, King Charles is “deeply saddened” by Prince Karim’s death. He is said to have been in touch with the family privately.

The Aga Khan Foundation said in a statement: “His Highness Prince Karim Al-Hussaini, Aga Khan IV, 49th hereditary Imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslims and direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), passed away peacefully in Lisbon on 4 February 2025, aged 88, surrounded by his family.”

Do you think King Charles, at some point, will decide to abdicate, or do you believe he will sit on the throne until he dies? Please share this article on Facebook with friends and family and give us your opinion!

My wife and I went to adopt a child and met a girl who looked just like our daughter.

I was shocked to see a girl who looked just like my daughter—same honey-brown hair, dimples, and even the same birthmark on her wrist. But there she was, in a shelter I only visited because my wife and I wanted to adopt. That moment changed everything I thought I knew about my past.

My name is James, and I’m a dad in my thirties to my amazing five-year-old daughter, Olivia, from my previous marriage. When I met my wife, Claire, I was a single dad trying to balance raising a toddler and starting a new relationship. Claire and Olivia bonded instantly, like they were meant to be. Seeing them together brought back memories of Olivia’s mother, Caroline, and the time before our marriage ended. Caroline was always in the background of my life, a reminder of both love and loss, but over time, I had made peace with it.

We started talking about adoption about a year ago. Claire always wanted to grow our family. She loved Olivia, but she also dreamed of experiencing motherhood from the very beginning—holding a newborn, hearing a child call her “Mommy” for the first time. The big question was whether we should have a baby of our own or adopt.

After many discussions, adoption felt like the right choice for both of us. We believed there were children out there who needed love and a stable home, and the idea gave us a deep sense of purpose. So, we began the process—filling out paperwork, attending interviews, and preparing for the moment we would meet the child who would join our family.

On the morning of our visit to Mrs. Alvarez at the local children’s shelter, I was tying my sneakers when I noticed Claire standing at the top of the stairs. She smoothed her blouse nervously, and even from across the room, I could tell she was feeling anxious.

“Are you okay?” I asked gently.

Claire pressed her lips together, her wide eyes showing a hint of nervousness. “I’m really excited, James, but I’m also a little scared. What if we don’t connect with any of the kids? What if they don’t like us?”

I walked up the stairs and took her hands, giving them a reassuring squeeze. “We won’t know until we try. Kids love you—I see it every time Olivia lights up around you. It’ll be just like that.”

She nodded and let out a slow breath. Just then, we heard Olivia’s small voice from the living room. “Mom, can I have pancakes?”

Claire’s cheeks flushed slightly. “Maybe tomorrow, sweet pea!” she called back before turning to me with a whisper. “Your daughter has turned me into a full-time pancake chef.”

I chuckled, leading her toward the door. “Good thing for us—the best pancake maker in town.”

As we drove, the car was filled with excitement and anticipation. Claire stared out the window, deep in thought, as the houses and trees passed by. I wanted to lighten the mood, but the moment felt too important—like we were on the verge of something life-changing.

At the shelter, Mrs. Alvarez greeted us warmly in her tidy office. She was an older woman with a kind, motherly presence. She listened as we shared our hopes of giving a child a loving home, no matter their age or background. Once we finished talking, she led us to the playroom, where about a dozen children were reading, drawing, or playing with toys.

Claire’s tense shoulders relaxed as soon as she spotted a little boy stacking blocks into a tall tower. She knelt beside him and said, “Wow, that’s amazing! How tall can you make it?” He smiled shyly but seemed happy with her interest. Meanwhile, I found myself chatting with a young girl at an easel, painting a rainbow. She told me how much she loved bright colors—especially purple, her favorite.

But neither of us felt that special connection we had heard about—the moment when you just know, This is our child. As time passed, a quiet worry crept in: What if we don’t find that bond? What if we leave disappointed?

Then, I felt a small tap on my shoulder—tiny fingers, a gentle poke. I turned around and saw a little girl, about five years old, with big, curious eyes. She wore a pastel sweater with a cartoon cat on it, and her long honey-brown hair looked just like Olivia’s.

“Are you a new dad?” she asked softly, tilting her head.

A strange feeling hit me. She even sounds like Olivia. But I managed a polite smile. “I’m not sure yet, sweetheart. My name is James. What’s yours?”

She grinned. “Angel. That’s the name the lady here said suits me best.”

I blinked, repeating the name in my head. “Nice to meet you, Angel. Are you having fun?”

She shrugged and glanced at the puzzle table. Then, as if making up her mind, she reached out her hand. My eyes fell on it—and I froze.

There, just above her wrist, was a tiny, crescent-shaped birthmark. My throat went dry. It was exactly like Olivia’s—in the same spot, the same shape. My mind raced. This can’t be just a coincidence. It’s too exact.

Claire must have noticed the look on my face. She walked over, her expression turning pale. “James, what’s wrong?”

I glanced at her, struggling to find the right words. “Look at her wrist,” I whispered. Claire’s eyes widened as she looked back and forth between Angel’s face and the birthmark. Her face went even paler.

Meanwhile, Angel stayed calm, as if she already trusted us. She frowned slightly and asked, “Did I do something wrong? Don’t you want me?”

A wave of protectiveness hit me. I gave her a reassuring smile and gently placed my hand over hers. “Of course, we do.” We just… never expected to meet someone who looked so much like our daughter.”

Suddenly, I felt dizzy. My ex-wife, Caroline, had once told me she was pregnant before our divorce. She gave birth to Olivia and handed her to me. But what if there was more to the story? Could Caroline have had twins—and kept it a secret?

The memories flooded back: Caroline’s panic, how she avoided talking about her pregnancy, and the way she left me with a newborn before disappearing from my life.

I took a deep breath and steadied myself. “Angel,” I said gently, “can I ask you something?”

She nodded, her eyes full of trust.

“Do you… know anything about your mom or dad?”

Her expression grew sad, and she shook her head. “Mrs. Alvarez told me I was brought here as a baby. She doesn’t know who left me. But she always says I’m special and that maybe, one day, my family will come looking for me.”

Tears stung my eyes. Claire reached out and gently tucked Angel’s hair behind her ear. “Maybe we are that family,” she said softly.

The rest of the day felt like a blur. Mrs. Alvarez explained that Angel had arrived at the shelter when she was about six months old. The only clue about her past was a handwritten note that simply said: Her name is Angel. I just can’t keep her. There were no records, no leads—nothing.

At that moment, Claire and I knew what we had to do. We were going to adopt Angel. Deep down, I couldn’t shake the feeling that she was Olivia’s twin. The resemblance was undeniable—same hair, same face, and that same birthmark.

How can I prove it? I wondered.

Once we got home, I picked up the phone and called Caroline. It had been a long time since I last spoke to her. She answered cautiously. “James? Is Olivia okay?”

I didn’t waste time. “Caroline, did you have twins?”

Silence. Then, her voice shook. “How… how did you find out?”

My chest tightened. “There’s a little girl at an orphanage named Angel. She looks exactly like Olivia—same face, same birthmark.”

Caroline let out a shaky sob. “I couldn’t handle two babies, James. I was alone, broke, and scared. I thought you’d never forgive me if I told you the truth. I wanted to protect at least one, so I left Olivia with you. I planned to go back for Angel once I got my life together, but things just got worse. Leaving her… that’s my biggest regret.”

I gripped the phone so tightly my knuckles turned white. “How could you do that? You never told me? You let her grow up in a shelter instead of giving me the chance to raise her?”

Caroline broke down. “I’m so sorry, James. I didn’t know how to face you. I was young and terrified, and before I knew it, too much time had passed. Is she… is she okay?”

I let out a deep sigh, my eyes filling with tears. “She’s okay, but… she’s spent her whole life without a family.” Claire and I are going to adopt her.”

Caroline’s voice shook with relief. “Thank you! I know I don’t deserve forgiveness, but please take care of her. She belongs with you, James—just like Olivia.”

I ended the call, overwhelmed by a mix of anger and sadness. But beneath it all, one thing was clear: I was going to bring Angel home, reunite her with Olivia, and give them the life they deserved.

Olivia was thrilled about getting a sister, but nothing could have prepared her for the moment they met. When we finally brought Angel home, Olivia could barely contain her excitement. The two girls stared at each other in awe, as if looking into a mirror—same hair, same eyes, and that tiny crescent-shaped birthmark. Then, at the same time, they let out a joyful squeal, ran into each other’s arms, and burst into laughter and tears.

Claire and I sat together, tears in our eyes, watching our daughters realize they were twins. It felt like a little miracle happening right in our living room. That night, they refused to sleep apart, curling up together in the same bed, whispering secrets only they could understand.

Bringing Angel into our family wasn’t easy, but the shelter staff understood how urgent it was. With Caroline confirming the truth, the judge granted us custody of Angel. After mountains of paperwork and an emotional roller coaster, the adoption was finalized. Our little family of three had grown to four. And Olivia? She was happier than ever.

As time passed, I wrestled with my anger toward Caroline. But for Angel’s sake, I chose to set it aside and kept things civil. The girls started school together, often confusing their teachers, who struggled to tell them apart. Their bond was incredible, almost as if they were making up for lost time. Claire embraced motherhood fully, her dream of raising another child finally realized. Some nights, she would get emotional thinking about Angel’s early years in the orphanage, and I would remind her that from now on, our love would fill every gap.

A year later, we held a small celebration with close family and friends to mark Angel’s official adoption. We called it “Family Day,” and the twins wore matching dresses. Caroline came too, her eyes filled with tears and gratitude. She tried to explain her past choices, but no words could truly undo the pain. Still, for Angel’s sake, I let her stay, hoping this might be a step toward healing.

After the ceremony, I noticed Caroline standing by a tree in our yard, watching as the twins ran off, laughing. As I approached, she whispered, “They’re beautiful.”

I nodded, crossing my arms. “They are.” And they will always be surrounded by love.

Caroline wiped away a tear. “Thank you for giving them that.”

I didn’t say much else. The pain she caused was still there, but what mattered most was the future. My daughters ran around the yard, laughing freely, like two birds finally set free. That was all I needed to see.

Some nights, as I lie in bed beside Claire, I listen to the soft breaths of Olivia and Angel from their rooms. I think back to a year ago—how close we came to never knowing Angel even existed. It’s hard to believe I could have walked into that shelter and missed her completely. Love led us to adoption, and love uncovered the truth: I had twins.

Life won’t always be perfect for them. There will be questions about their birth mother and the time they lost. But as I watch them, arms linked, giggling about their day at school, I can’t help but marvel at second chances. We found the missing piece of our family. And most importantly, two little girls found each other—a bond they’ll share forever.

That, more than anything, proves to me that love finds a way. Even when it seems impossible. Even when it reveals truths that change everything. Now, with Olivia and Angel together, our home is twice as full—twice the laughter, twice the mischief, twice the joy. And I wouldn’t trade that for anything in the world.

Adult star who slept with 100+ men in a day announces pregnancy

With the advent of OnlyFans there have been a lot of adult content creators who have risen to new heights of fame. One of these creators in UK based Lily Phillips who is known as one of the most popular OnlyFans creator.

As the competition on every platform gets tougher, creators are driven to come up with unique ideas that not only attract more eyeballs but also earn them more money in their bank accounts.

Keep reading to know more about what Lily Phillips is now saying.

OnlyFans creator Lily Phillips made headlines when she slept with a 101 men in a single day. While the attempt itself was one of its kind, it was the documentary YouTuber Josh Pieters released on it two months later that gained a lot of traction.

The Derbyshire native said to Josh the experience was not easy. After she was done, she told him on camera, “It’s not for the weak girls. If I’m honest, it was hard. I don’t know if I’d recommend it. It’s a different feeling. It’s just one in, one out, it feels intense.”

She shared how she felt during the ordeal, saying, “I think by the 30th, when we’re getting on a bit, I’ve got a routine of how we’re going to do this, and sometimes you disassociate, and it’s not like normal s*x at all.”

The 24-hour marathon was so physically and mentally demanding that she revealed she had blocked out some of the memories.

“In my head right now, I can think of like five, six guys, 10 guys that I remember, and that’s it. But it’s just weird, isn’t it? If I didn’t have the videos, I wouldn’t have known I did 100,” she said.

She previously said she has not been dating anyone as her profession is not conducive to her having a normal love life.

After the documentary went viral, instead of reflecting, Phillips announced her next big challenge: sleeping with 1,000 men in one day.

She said in an interview that she has been training for the challenge and compared it to any other sporting event. “I’ve done 101, and I’m doing 300 in a few weeks, it’s like a boxing match,” she said.

“I think I’ll get sore towards the end, but I think I’ve got the right determination just to be able to push on,” she ended.

She shared how what she does is “harder than a 9 to 5.”

“If you talk about a day job, as in going to the office, sleeping with 101 men is so much more taxing,” she reasoned. But it has since then been reported that she will not be following through with her 1,000 people target as fellow adult entertainer Bonnie Blue already beat her to it in January this year.

Bonnie has claimed that she slept with 1,057 men in a time span of 12 hours. The documentary on her feat will be released on a major UK TV network, according to reports.

When she began casting for her big record, she called for “boys, dads, and husbands” who were interested in participating with her.

Lily Phillip’s surprise announcement

While she beaten at her 1,000 men in a day record, it seems like Lily Phillips is about to make headlines for something else. She revealed on social media that she is pregnant.

She posted a photo of a pregnancy test which read ‘1-2 weeks’ and another picture of herself cradling her baby bump.

“‘The secret is out, baby Phillips 2025. It’s official,” she wrote in her post. As for the father of the baby, she did not reveal anything regarding that. She has not previously shared that she has been dating someone.

However, people were suspicious about the post and accused Lily of faking a pregnancy in order to promote her adult content.

“This is not real,” one of person simply wrote, while another added, “I’m here for all the gullible comments.”

Fans immediately spot detail

While another comment broke down the reasons they thought this was fake news. They wrote, “Pregnant 1-2, with such a big Belly? I dont get it. Sorry…if rhe Test would be older, then the display would no longer show anything. I only know this from my own. Can someone explain to me what the 1-2 means? (Months?)”

Others also thought similarly, with one person commenting, “It’s fake can’t have a bump like that in 1-2 months😂”

People also noticed that when she filmed a promo for the upcoming Pillow Talk podcast, she did not seem pregnant. One user wrote, “Her stomach was so flat when she did the Pillow Talk Show. Was that filmed 2+ months ago?”

Another person seconded this theory, writing, “Fake… you were just on the podcast not showing at all, we get that you love attention but this is just sick 🧐”

A lot of people who either bought the news or were bent of trolling Phillips simply wanted to know who the father was.

“Who’s the daddy?” one user wrote in the comments.

“Mission Impossible: Figuring out who knocked up Lily Phillips,” another comment said.

Some people also mentioned that she had recently made an appearance at the Adult Video News Awards where she did not have a bump and that it could not have grown so much in less than a month.

All in all, Lily Phillips has not said anything otherwise than that she is pregnant. What do you think of this story? Let us know in the comments.

Canadian singer changes National Anthem lyrics to protest Trump

In a bold act of protest, the singer of the Canadian anthem at Thursday night’s 4 Nations Face-Off championship game altered a key lyric in O Canada, sending a powerful message in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s repeated suggestions of making Canada the 51st state.

Tensions running high

The final between the U.S. and Canada at the 4 Nations tournament was set to be a showdown like no other. With tensions already sky-high — thanks to Trump’s tariff threats and comments about making Canada the 51st state — emotions were on full display. Last week, in Montreal, Canadian fans had made their voices heard, booing the American anthem in protest.

Thursday’s final in Boston between Team USA and Canada had even more on the line, and the rivalry reached a boiling point when American fans fired back by booing the Canadian anthem. To add fuel to the fire, Trump even called the U.S. team before the match to give them an extra boost of motivation. With tensions running high, this game was shaping up to be more than just a hockey match.

But what really grabbed everyone’s attention wasn’t the boos—it was what happened during O Canada. Many viewers thought Canadian anthem singer Chantal Kreviazuk had made a mistake, but what followed was a bold, deliberate act of protest that left everyone talking.

Kreviazuk’s powerful performance

The original lyrics say, “in all of us command,” but Kreviazuk instead sang, “that only us command.” Shortly after, her publicist, Adam Gonshor, confirmed that she had changed the lyrics in protest of Trump’s remarks about Canada becoming the 51st state.

Fans in Boston let out a faint boo as the anthem began, but their jeers were quickly drowned out by Kreviazuk’s powerful performance.

According to CTV News, citing The Associated Press, Kreviazuk explained her decision: “Because I believe in democracy, and a sovereign nation should not have to be defending itself against tyranny and fascism.”

“I grew up on music that spoke to the heart and the moment, and it shaped me as a songwriter and as a human being,” she added. “It wouldn’t be authentic for me to have a world stage and not express myself or stay true to who I am.”

Kreviazuk, who is from Winnipeg, Manitoba, also wrote the phrase “that only us command” with mascara on her left hand. She posted a picture of that on her Instagram with emojis of a Canadian flag and a flexed muscle.

“I just put it on there so if I ever had a moment and I kind of froze, I would be able to look at my hand and see it,” Kreviazuk said.

“I’d love to see people sort of get inspired and catch the fire and say their heart more in their art. … Sometimes you just got to speak the truth in your art and it’s awesome. That’s what it should be about.”

After Canada’s thrilling overtime victory, sealed by superstar Connor McDavid, O Canada echoed through the arena once more—but this time, there was no booing. Instead, Canadian players and fans united in song, proudly watching their flag rise inside TD Garden.

Chantal Kreviazuk’s hidden message during the anthem has certainly sparked conversation, with some praising her bold stand and others questioning whether it was appropriate for such a public moment. What do you think—was this the right way to protest, or should it have been left unsaid? The debate is far from over.
