Brad Pitt Responds After Woman Tricked Into Sending $850,000 For Cancer Treatment

Brad Pitt has responded after a woman was tricked into sending $850,000 to a fake account pretending to be the actor, claiming he needed the cash for cancer treatment.

53-year-old Anne said she was fooled by an online scammer after she received messages on social media, with the account pretending to be Brad Pitt’s mother. Only a day later, Anne was sent another DM in February 2023, which allegedly read: “Hello Anne, my mother told me a lot about you. I would like to know more.”Speaking to French TV TF1, she said: “In fact, we’re talking about Brad Pitt, I’m falling from the clouds. At first, I tell myself it’s fake, but I don’t really understand what’s happening to me. After that, we will contact each other every day and we become friends,”.“There are so few men who write you this kind of thing. I liked the man I was talking to. He knew how to talk to women, it was always very well done.”The account then claimed to be going through ‘cancer treatment’ but due to his ongoing divorce with Angelina Jolie, he could not afford it. They sent photoshopped AI images of the Fight Club actor in a hospital to fool Anne. However, when she wanted to call him, the account said they were too ‘busy’. After months of conversation, the victim even agreed to marry the man behind the profile – after she divorced her husband and received €775,000 ($798,894). The account had promised to buy her gifts such as Chanel and Hermès purses and so she sent the entire amount of money to the fake account. They also said she would have to pay a customs fee of €9,000 ($9,277).After the real Brad Pitt was spotted in public with his new girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, Anne became suspicious and made the decision to get investigators to look into her case. As reported by BFM TV, Anne is now in a hospital clinic with severe depression and it has not been reported if she got her money back from the scammer or not. With the story going viral, the real Brad Pitt has since responded. A spokesperson on his behalf said: “It’s awful that scammers take advantage of the strong bond between fans and celebrities,”.“This is an important reminder not to respond to unsolicited online messages, especially from actors who are not present on social networks.”

Despite being born in the US, Gomez’ father is of Mexican descent and she calls herself a ‘proud third-generation American-Mexican’.Not long after posting the video, she deleted it and uploaded a black screen with the caption: “Apparently it’s not ok to show empathy for people.”President Trump’s latest order meant 956 people were arrested in just one day, due to an immigration crackdown. The BBC also reported that a further 286 people were arrested on Saturday and 593 on Friday, with 538 being arrested on Thursday. ICE revealed that over 1000 people were removed on Thursday. Citizenship is classed as ‘a priceless and profound gift’. The US Refugee Admissions Programme has been suspended ‘until such time as the further entry into the United States of refugees aligns with the interests of the United States’.“The Secretary of State and the Secretary of Homeland Security may jointly determine to admit aliens to the United States as refugees on a case-by-case basis, in their discretion, but only so long as they determine that the entry of such aliens as refugees is in the national interest and does not pose a threat to the security or welfare of the United States.”Senate candidate Sam Parker shared screenshots of the singer’s video, along with the caption: “Selena Gomez picked illegals over America b/c she’s the 3rd gen descendent of Mexican illegals who received citizenship in the ’87 Amnesty,”.“She has an entitlement attitude toward America, like her illegal g’parents. Selena Gomez removes a video showing her emotional response to Donald Trump’s latest executive orders

“Apparently it’s not ok to show empathy for people,” singer/actress Selena Gomez posted on the social media after deleting a video of herself in which she got emotional over President Trump’s latest executive oders.

Selena Gomez, who is of Mexican heritage, reacted to Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown.

In one of the videos she has since deleted, the 32-year-old star said, “I just want to say that I’m so sorry. All my people are getting attacked.

“The children. I don’t understand. I’m so sorry I wish I could do something but I can’t.

“I don’t know what to do. I’ll try everything, I promise.”

As per NBC News, Trump ordered his administration to conduct major immigration raids in three US cities per week. This is an attempt to fulfill his promise of mass deportations and tightening border security.

With the executive order he signed, Trump tends to deport millions of people who are in the country illegally.

He declared illegal immigration at the US-Mexico border a national emergency. Trump planned to send troops to help immigration agents and restrict refugees and asylum.

Tom Homan, former US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) director who was appointed the ‘border czar’ by the president’s administration, is just one of the people who supported Trump’s stance on immigration.

“If you’re in the country illegally, you’re on the table, because it’s not OK to, you know, violate the laws of this country. You got to remember, every time you enter this country illegally, you violated a crime under Title Eight, the United States Code 1325, it’s a crime,” he said.

Fox host Sean Hannity interviewed Hofman and asked him about his thoughts on Gomez’s video. “I gotta ask your reaction to Selena Gomez. I didn’t see any postings of tears for all the women and American citizens murdered, all the people that were raped including children, all the other victims of violent crime…” He added: “I didn’t see any tears on any of those issues. What was that all about?”

Hofman replied that it was the “best monologue I’ve heard you do in years.”

The border czar highlighted that illegal immigrants entering the States has led to the fentanyl crisis and child s** trafficking.

Selena Gomez, who criticized Trump’s decision to sign the executive order regarding immigration, has spoken of her Mexican heritage in the past.

In a piece for Time from 2019, she wrote, “In the 1970s, my aunt crossed the border from Mexico to the United States hidden in the back of a truck.

“My grandparents followed, and my father was born in Texas soon after. In 1992, I was born a U.S. citizen thanks to their bravery and sacrifice.”

Gomez is a producer of the Netflix docuseries Living Undocumented.

It it about the lives of families who fear deportation every single day.

Pressure points on feet provide relief from ‘serious’ conditions

The human feet, though often overlooked, are marvels of engineering and play a vital role in our daily lives. They are not just for standing or walking; they provide balance, support and mobility.

What you might not know is that when pressure is applied to specific points on your feet, it can stimulate relief in parts of your body and promote your overall well-being.

Reflexology, the ancient practice of applying pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, or ears to promote overall well-being, often encounters skepticism. It’s understandable – on the surface, the idea of influencing internal organs or alleviating pain through foot pressure may seem far-fetched.

And though you might be skeptical, a decades long study by the National Library of Medicine (NLM) confirms that foot reflexology “will be introduced” to “provide physical and psychological relief to patients with serious clinical conditions.”

“These healthcare methods can become a part of people’s lives and give them a more solid, comprehensive, and healthy sustainable life value,” NLM writes of the ancient therapeutic practice that was first documented as far back as 2330.

How it works

Reflexology operates on the principle that specific areas on the feet, hands, or ears are connected to other body parts. For example, a point on the sole of the foot might correspond to the heart or lungs, or the tip of your toe is believed to be a path to your sinuses.

By applying targeted pressure to these zones, practitioners stimulate nerve endings, improving blood circulation and energy flow.

The practice combines knowledge of anatomy and physiology with holistic wellness techniques, and many individuals report feeling deeply relaxed and rejuvenated after a session.

The Benefits of Reflexology

Stress Reduction and Relaxation: Reflexology helps activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which reduces stress hormones and induces a state of deep relaxation. Regular sessions may alleviate symptoms of anxiety and promote better sleep.

Improved Circulation: By stimulating pressure points, reflexology enhances blood flow to targeted areas, which may help in delivering oxygen and nutrients more efficiently throughout the body.

Pain Management: Reflexology has been linked to relief from chronic pain conditions, such as migraines, back pain, and arthritis. It can serve as a complementary approach to traditional pain management methods.

Enhanced Nerve Function: Consistent practice may help improve the responsiveness of nerves and eliminate blockages in the pathways through which energy flows.

Detoxification and Immune Boosting: Reflexology supports the body’s natural detoxification processes by improving lymphatic drainage and enhancing the immune system’s functionality.

Reflexology is also believed to increase energy, eliminate toxins, treat sleep disorders and reduce depression.

If you want to try it out at home, here are some tips to guide your massage.

  1. Make sure you’re seated in a comfortable chair where you can sit up straight without slouching. Cross one leg and rest that foot near the knee of your opposite leg. Put your foot in a position where you can easily massage it.
  2. Next, review the acupressure foot chart and figure out the body part you are wanting to treat. For example, if your shoulder is hurting, find the corresponding spot on the chart for the foot you are working on.
  3. Once you identify the spot on your heal, use  tip of your thumb to press and deeply knead that area for at least two minutes. Then, do the same on your other foot with the opposite thumb.
  4. Repeat this process for any other area on your body that you want to treat.

You can do this every day but as these pressure points will adapt to the stimulation, it’s recommended you work them on a rotation of 10 days with a four-day break.

Or you can always visit a reflexologist and leave your feet in the care of a professional!

Let us know if you tried it out and how you feel!
