People think Donald Trump accidentally incriminated himself and Elon Musk with a rather odd confession during his rally speech.The inauguration of president Donald Trump took place in Washington D.C yesterday (20 January 2025) and was eventful, to say the least.Many were in attendance including former presidents, Bush, Obama and Clinton as well tech billionaires, Jeff Bezoz, Mark Zuckerberg, Tim Cook, Sundar Pichai and the world’s richest man, Elon Musk.Speaking of Musk, Trump said: “And then he journeyed to Pennslyvania where he spent a month and a half campaigning for me and he’s a popular guy.“He knows those computers better than anybody. All those computers, those vote-counting computers, and we ended up winning Pennsylvania like in a landslide.“So, it was pretty good, it was pretty good. So, thank you to Elon.”Viewers took to X to shared their thoughts. One person said: “This is called a confession.”“What an odd thing to say,” another typed.“Did he just……..” said a third.With a fourth adding: “Now, Trump suggests that Elon Musk rigged the PA vote-counting computers in his favor.“Surely the GOP will be demanding a full investigation into Trump and his oligarch wannabe-dictator buddies. Some shared: “I literally just watched it and he never said any of that…”“‘Depending on which county a resident lives in, they may vote by voting machine, or they may vote with a paper ballot that is scanned in.“Pennsylvania uses different systems to count mail-in ballots in some parts of the state that are used to count the same-day vote, and every vote in the state leaves a paper trail.’“Therefore it would be technically impossible to hack voting machines since the paper trail would not match up. Donald Trump has made an extreme law change in the first 24 hours of him being president.The inauguration on 20 January saw the 78-year-old become president once more.Since being handed the power, he has wasted no time in getting to work.For 4 years, a ban on federal executions has been in place, after three defendants remain on federal death row – with Joe Biden converting the 37 others’ sentences to life imprisonment.In the executive order, Trump blamed Biden for  ‘commuting the sentences of 37 of the 40 most vile and sadistic r*pists, child m*lesters, and murderers on Federal death row: remorseless criminals who brutalised young children, strangled and drowned their victims, and hunted strangers for sport’.As well as claiming  ‘judges who oppose capital punishment have likewise disregarded the law by falsely claiming that capital punishment is unconstitutional, even though the Constitution explicitly acknowledges the legality of capital punishment’.The order stated that ‘capital punishment is an essential tool for deterring and punishing those who would commit the most heinous crimes and acts of lethal violence against American citizens’.“Before, during, and after the founding of the United States, our cities, States, and country have continuously relied upon capital punishment as the ultimate deterrent and only proper punishment for the vilest crimes,”.“Our Founders knew well that only capital punishment can bring justice and restore order in response to such evil. For this and other reasons, capital punishment continues to enjoy broad popular support.“Yet for too long, politicians and judges who oppose capital punishment have defied and subverted the laws of our country.“At every turn, they seek to thwart the execution of lawfully imposed capital sentences and choose to enforce their personal beliefs rather than the law.”“The Government’s most solemn responsibility is to protect its citizens from abhorrent acts.“And my Administration will not tolerate efforts to stymie and eviscerate the laws that authorise capital punishment against those who commit horrible acts of violence against American citizens.”The order also states the Attorney General ‘shall take all necessary and lawful action to ensure that each state that allows capital punishment has a sufficient supply of drugs needed to carry out lethal injection’.Like this:Like Loading…

Donald Trump’s administration has been sued four times since his inauguration on Monday thanks to Elon Musk.It has been two days since Trump became president and he has already sued four times…Musk’s new title is Department of Government Efficiency – or DOGE for short, like the meme cryptocurrency started by the billionaire. His role is to aid the Trump administration in finding places to cut government spending.Elon Musk, known for his distinctive gestures, raised his right arm to the crowd twice on Trump’s inauguration day. Musk had previously boasted about his ability to slash $2 trillion from the U.S. government’s budget.However, he later revised the figure to $1 trillion, reasoning that “by aiming for two, you could probably get one.”Musk was tapped to oversee the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) alongside Vivek Ramaswamy. Ramaswamy, however, resigned mere hours after Trump’s inauguration, leaving Musk in full control of the department.DOGE has quickly found itself embroiled in legal battles, facing three lawsuits. These cases have been complicated by Trump’s executive order declaring DOGE a part of the U.S. government, exempting it from classification as a federal advisory committee and therefore not subject to FACA regulations.A fourth lawsuit, filed by the Center for Biological Diversity, takes a different angle. Instead of focusing on DOGE’s status, it demands public records to uncover how those claiming to represent DOGE have interacted with the White House since the presidential transition began in November.According to The Washington Post, DOGE faced immediate legal challenges.National Security Counselors filed the first lawsuit, arguing that the department meets the criteria for a federal advisory committee and must comply with transparency requirements under FACA.Similar allegations were made in two other lawsuits, filed by Public Citizen, the State Democracy Defenders Fund, the American Federation of Government Employees, Democracy Forward, and Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.
